I love looking at art, whether that’s at an exhibition in a village hall or at the Tate, St Ives.
I can’t remember ever taking time to look and wishing I hadn’t bothered! I come away from an exhibition of art, feeling nourished and excited by the realisation that there is a world into which I can connect. Over the years I have learnt that there is no special way to look, no special understanding needed. Just a willingness to see what is in front of you and absorb what has been created by people. On Thursday I was lucky enough to go to the Tate St Ives to look at the Ithell Colquhoun exhibition. I can highly recommend it!
