When creating art I like the textures within a landscape to be reflected in my work. I have just found the wonders of collagraph for creating texture.

I have been experimenting this morning making some plates ready for printing. These two plates are of Wheal Coates an iconic Cornish engine house for the tin mines near St. Agnes.

I used textured wallpaper, grass, lichen, tissue paper and fake leather to make the plates ready for the inking process.

I love having time to experiment and see what different results I get. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't but it's all part of the learning process. Come and see them at our Open Studio on Easter Monday. www.furseart.co.uk
